The National Institutes of Health’s National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) published a Jan 2024 article highlighting increased participation in complementary healthcare approaches between 2002 and 2022.
The seven complementary healthcare approaches identified in the study include;
- Yoga
- Mediation
- Massage Therapy
- Chiropractic Care
- Acupuncture
- Naturopathy
- Guided Imagery/Progressive Muscle Relaxation
The percentage of individuals who reported using at least one of the seven complementary healthcare approaches increased from 19.2% in 2002 to 36.7% in 2022.
A whopping 17.5% increase!
That's a huge win for holistic healthcare!
